Rather great at growing Vegetables and facial hair!
Sam can always be found outside, possibly straddling some type of vegetable. Having trained at Duchy Horticultural college he then started his working career at the iconic Lost Gardens of Heligan. Involved in most areas of the garden and estate.In 2009 sam became involved in the filming of a BBC Natural World- Heligan, Secrets of the Lost Garden. This led to Sam working for the BBC’s natural history unit contributing on several programmes around the uk. Sam spent the winter of 2012-13 working as head gardener on a private residence in New Zealand. On his return to Cornwall he began creating the kitchen garden at The Polgooth Inn. More recently Sam has begun working on larger scale vegetable production for Lobbs Farm shop.
Sam is renowned for his humorous take on fruit and vegetable growing, producing some weird and wonderful varieties and helping others grow in their own gardens, businesses and allotments.
